Christmas time, what is it to you? I know that Christmas time means different things to many different people. Unfortunately, I find that it has been extremely commercialized. It makes me sad to see how especially companies have taken this holiday and used it to their benefit, to make tons of money. While on this topic, there is an interesting website to check out. Roughly 2,000 years ago, God sent His one and only Son into this world to save us from our sins. He sent Jesus into this world in a most humble way. Jesus was born to Joesph and Mary. Jesus' coming was prophesied in the Old Testament, Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace...". I take time every year to reflect on this. God sent His Son Jesus to earth as a baby. Jesus grew up. By about the age 30, He started teaching and healing. Later, He was crucified. Even though people loved Him, many hated Him as well. Jesus took on our sins, dieing one of the most horrific deaths of that time. He went that through us. I am humbled every time I think about it.
