So for the past week or so, I have been wanting to write an entry about forgiveness. This entry will be brief, but to the point. From life lessons and experience, I know that many people struggle greatly with not being able to forgive people who may have wronged them.
It is human nature to have a bitter heart against people, in other words, not forgiving. In the past, I have held that attitude of not wanting to forgive. Holding that inside can have negative impacts, in more ways than one. It can hold mental, spiritual and even physical side effects. Yes, I know how that can be.
God gives us the strength to overcome this problem. Philippians 4:13 tells us, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." That means if we look to Him, He will help us. Ephesians 4:26 says "'Be angry and do not sin': do not let the sun go down on your wrath..."
Overall, I want to say from experience that forgiving people who have wronged you is the way to go. It's a great burden off the shoulders!
